  • After decades of additional innovations and breakthroughs, Redding founded Nexxus in 1979, with the vision of delivering the most progressive formulations in the world by merging technology with nature’s precious ingredients.

    Redding chose the name Nexxus as an acronym for Nature and Earth, United by Science. The XX’s of the brand represent the connection of science and nature together. Nexxus also derives from the Greek meaning of “connection” or “binding together.”

    The brand quickly became known as industry pioneers due to its continual innovations, including being one of the first to infuse antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and botanicals into hair care.

    Until 2005 Nexxus was available exclusively in salons. The decision to make the brand more widely available was made with a promise to ensure the continuation of uncompromising performance.

  • The year 2015 marks the re-launch of the Nexxus brand, with reformulated products that hold true to Redding’s core philosophy, while offering our next era in exceptional hair care.

    The new home of Nexxus, a revolutionary salon located in Tribeca, New York, opened in December 2014. The sophisticated space brings together design, technology and hair care, creating a holistic experience that takes clients on a journey of hair restoration.
