Curlers

Vibrant, beautifully curled hair radiates life and movement. And it’s easier to create than you think. Transform straight hair into sophisticated waves or elegant ringlets with the ease and simple brilliance of curlers and hot rollers.

Curler Options

Curlers are available in a variety of sizes and materials. Each is used a little differently, but the end result is gorgeous, irresistible curls.

  • Sponge Curlers – Apply when hair is damp and allow to air dry, or blow dry and allow to cool
  • Velcro Rollers – Apply to dry hair, heat with blow dryer and allow to cool before unraveling
  • Hot Rollers – Apply to dry hair and allow to cool completely before touching curls

Size Matters

A general rule of thumb: the larger the roller the fuller and softer the result. Smaller rollers will create tighter, curlier locks.

Heat it Up

While the rollers help coax your hair to move into a different position, it is actually heat that locks in the style and adds shine. So be sure to leave the rollers in until hair is completely cool. A simple trick if you run low on hot rollers is to leave them in your hair for five minutes, then carefully unravel the curls and re-wrap them around Velcro rollers until completely cool.

Curling Technique

Place the roller about 1 and 1/2 inches above the end of a section and wrap the bottom around the roller. To create extra lift at the roots, wrap your hair around the roller by rolling them under toward the head. Continue until you reach your scalp.
